Different displays of the KM3-230213A event in the ARCA detector
Event display of KM3-230213A in style 1. The muon’s reconstructed trajectory is depicted as a red line, accompanied by an artistic representation of the Cherenkov light cone. The hits recorded by individual PMTs are shown as spheres aligned with the PMT orientations. The spheres are color-coded based on their detection time relative to the first triggered hit. Additionally, the size of each sphere corresponds to the number of photons detected by the respective PMT.
Event display of KM3-230213A in style 2. The event is seen from the side (in the left panel) as well as from the top (in the right panel) of the apparatus. The muon’s reconstructed trajectory is depicted as a white line, accompanied by an artistic representation of the Cherenkov light cone. The hits recorded by individual PMTs are shown as cones aligned with the PMT orientations. The cones are color-coded based on their detection time relative to the first triggered hit. Additionally, the length of each cone corresponds to the number of photons detected by the respective PMT.
Event display of KM3-230213A in style 3. The muon’s reconstructed trajectory is depicted as a blue line. The hits recorded by individual PMTs are shown as cones aligned with the PMT orientations. The cones are color-coded based on their detection time relative to the first triggered hit. Additionally, the length of each cone corresponds to the number of photons detected by the respective PMT. Tour Eiffel is added to give a height indication.
